Central DfE agreement (paid for by DfE for all state funded schools)
As part of the government’s commitment to reduce the administrative burden on state schools in England, the Department for Education has finalised agreements to purchase copyright licences for state funded schools centrally. The following copyright organisations now hold centralised agreements:
- Copyright Licensing Agency (CLA)
- The Educational Recording Agency (ERA)
- Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI)
- Phonographic Performance Limited (PPL)
- The Performing Right Society (PRS)
- Mechanical-Copyright Protection Society (MCPS)
- Motion Picture Licensing Company (MPLC)
- Filmbankmedia (Public Video Screening Licence – PVS)
- NLA Media Access (newspaper licensing)
- PMLL (Schools Printed Music Licence – SPML)
